Trek to Valley of Flowers – Introduction
The Valley of Flowers Trek is one of our top choices for trekking in Uttarakhand for a good reason. Many people who have never been to the Himalayas choose this trek as their first one. There is more to this trek than it seems at first. We understand that treks like this are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. Our itinerary aims to take you to as many places at the right price so it becomes a memorable experience. In this blog, we will be talking about why you should choose TrekNomads and why we charge what we charge when compared to other trekking brands.
Trek to Valley of Flowers – Transportation
As a part of the itinerary, our trekkers will be traveling in clean and comfortable vehicles like Tata Sumo, Tempo Traveller, and Mini Buses – depending on the number of trekkers. We also provide private vehicles like Innova (at extra cost). We provide airport pickup and drop from Dehradun Airport to Rishikesh*. We also provide domestic transfers from Rishikesh Hotel to Auli and Joshimath to Rishikesh. Also, included are the transport from Auli to Govind Ghat, Govind Ghat to Poolna and back, Govind Ghat to Badrinath/Mana and back to Joshimath/Auli. The journey from Rishikesh to Auli is known for its length and exhaustion, taking approximately 8 to 12 hours. Nevertheless, the route offers a chance to witness four Prayags, namely Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, and Nandaprayag. Other trekking companies may not stop at these sites, but Treknomads ensures that you have the opportunity to halt and capture stunning pictures. Furthermore, we make sure to stop at Local food joints to help you experience the local cuisine while enjoying a scenic drive. In contrast, other brands may ask you to go to a bus or taxi stand on the morning of the trek to arrange transportation. This can be inconvenient for trekkers. At Treknomads, we provide direct transportation to the hotel where you are staying, ensuring a more convenient and hassle-free experience. Overall, Treknomads strives to provide a comfortable and enjoyable journey to Auli, with plenty of opportunities to soak in the natural beauty of the region and create memorable experiences.

We understand the importance of providing good quality food during our treks. We believe that a healthy and nutritious diet is essential for our trekkers to maintain their energy levels and stay motivated throughout their journey. Unfortunately, we have noticed that many of our competitors provide very basic food during their treks, and most of them try to cut costs by compromising on the quality of the food they provide. At TrekNomads, we believe that the quality of food is just as important as the quality of the trek itself. That’s why we make sure that we provide our trekkers with the best possible food options, no matter where they are on their trek. In fact, we provide food in the best hotel in Ghanghariya to ensure that our trekkers receive the best quality food and service during their stay. We believe that good food is an essential part of the trekking experience, and we go above and beyond to make sure that our trekkers have access to the best food options available.
Best quality stays on the Trek to Valley of Flowers
Our trekkers will be staying at a 3-star or similar hotel stay in Rishikesh at the start and end of the trek. In this trek for six nights, you will get to stay at good quality hotels, where you will be sharing with two people, or 3, in case of odd group size. You will also get a Resort stay in Auli, Semi deluxe stay in Ghangaria, and Resort/hotel stay in Joshimath. We also don’t charge extra for blankets, pillows, etc. Many of the other trekking companies offer budget hotels with minimal facilities during their treks. In addition, the rooms provided are often small and cramped, with 4-6 people squeezed into a single room. This can make for an uncomfortable experience, especially after a long day of trekking. In order to cut down the costs, some brands choose to provide dormitory-style accommodations, where trekkers are expected to share a single large room with several other individuals. This may lead to a very uncomfortable experience. At TrekNomads, we believe that our trekkers deserve the best possible experience during their treks, and this includes quality accommodations. That’s why we make sure to provide our trekkers with comfortable and spacious rooms in the best hotels available. We ensure that our trekkers have access to all the necessary facilities and amenities, such as clean and hygienic washrooms, hot showers (at extra charge), and comfortable bedding, to make their trekking experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We believe that providing quality accommodation is essential for our trekkers to rest and recharge properly so that they can tackle each day of their trek with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

Our Valley of Flowers trek also includes these places other trekking companies don’t include in their itineraries:
A lot of other trekking brands start their trekking journey from Joshimath, which has few sightseeing options. We at TrekNomads, design our trek itineraries in such a way that people not only get to enjoy the trekking experience but also get to explore around. Here are some of the stops that other trekking companies do not add to their itineraries –
1. Two Night stay in Auli – a Ski destination in India
The road from Rishikesh to Auli has beautiful mountain views and winding rivers. Ensure you get the sunrise on your first morning in Auli. It’s what we live for. Unlike other tour operators who charge extra for stays, a two-night stay at a premium Auli resort is also part of your TrekNomads package. We also provide an acclimatization trek to Gorson Bugyal at Auli. This day helps our trekkers adjust to the high altitude in the next few days of intense trekking.
2. Travel via the Holy Confluences of River Ganga (Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandprayag, Vishnuprayag).
Located in Uttarakhand’s Garhwal district, Panch Prayag is where five rivers meet. When two or more rivers converge at a site known as a “Prayag,” that is where the rivers’ names come from. Legend has it that as Ganga was falling, Lord Shiva used His mighty powers to split it into five separate streams.
- Devprayag – One of the five most significant Prayags, Devprayag, comes first. Specifically, it can be found in Uttarakhand’s Tehri Garhwal area. The Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet at this point, which is considered a holy site.
- Rudraprayag – The Uttarakhand town of Rudraprayag is next. The rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini meet at this sacred spot.
- Karnaprayag – The town of Karnaprayag can be found in Uttarakhand state’s Chamoli district. These rivers, the Pindari and the Alaknanda meet at a sacred confluence.
- Nandaprayag – Nandaprayag is found in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district. The rivers Alaknanda and Nandakini meet at this sacred spot.
- Vishnuprayag – The town of Vishnuprayag is in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district. Vishnu Ganga and Dhuli Ganga meet at this sacred spot.
3. Visit one of the four Char Dhams – Badrinath & India’s last village Mana (if the weather permits).
The holy city of Badrinath is in the upper Chamoli district of the Garhwal region in Uttarakhand. It is 10,026.25 ft (3,056 m )above sea level, which is very high. There are many ways to get to the heavenly Badrinath temple. Anyone who enjoys taking in the sights of nature will love Badrinath, and the trek won’t disappoint you. Three kilometres after you reach Badrinath, you can find Mana, one of the last Indian villages. A few shops are open in Mana Village, which comprises small houses on a short road that winds up into the mountains. Women knit woollen clothes, and every garden grows some or the other vegetables. We would like to mention that this will be a part of our itinerary only if the weather permits.

That’s why we ensure that all of our staff, including our guides, are not only experienced and skilled but also friendly and approachable. We also understand that emergencies can happen during treks, and we want our clients to feel safe and secure at all times. That’s why we have a comprehensive emergency support system in place to ensure that our clients are well taken care of, should any unforeseen circumstances arise. While we strive to provide our clients with the best possible experience, we also acknowledge that in the mountains, anything can happen, from landslides to blockages to sudden rain.
