Pushpagiri (Kumara Parvatha), at 1,712 meters (5,617 ft), is the highest peak in Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. It is located in the Somwarpet Taluk, 20 kilometers from Somwarpet in the northern part of Kodagu district on the border between Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu district and Hassan districts. The relatively lesser known peak Nishani Motte is located in the Tala Cauvery/ Branhmagiri range part of Coorg. The peak is also known by the name of Nishani Betta which literally translates to the marked hill in the local language. The name is derived from the fact that during the British era, the peak was used as a mark to find the directions to different places on the hill path. In addition to having a picturesque landscape, the peak provides a stunning view of the other hills and mountains of the Brahmagiri range.

Consent for sharing of their details with the administrative / health authorities will be taken from visitors, as and where required for contact tracing related activity. All nomads shall be briefed on the safety measures taken before onboarding. All the nomads shall be briefed on the Dos and Don’ts to be mandatorily followed while traveling and during the trip. Nomads are recommended to carry their own sanitizer and wet wipes for personal use.  We highly recommend using your own transport for travel. Kopatty hills is one of the few unknown trek trails in the Western Ghats located in Coorg district in the south- western part of Karnataka. Kopatty is a beautiful trek with the trails passing through thick forests, meadows and valley.

About Avalabetta: Located about 90 Km from Bengaluru, Avalabetta is one of the famous and iconic destinations for trekking near Bengaluru. The iconic hanging rock at the cliff and a pond on the peak makes this trek a must-visit trail near Bengaluru city. The hillock is also home to the Narasimha Swamy Temple and a lot of pilgrims visit the temple on the weekends.About Gudibanda Fort: Gudibande, a multilevel fort was built by local chieftain Byre Gowda some 400 odd years ago in the 17th century. The fort’s main feature is the rainwater harvesting with 19 rock ponds at different levels of the fort. On the top of the fort is a Shiva temple, which is believed to be one of the 108 Jyotirlingas.

The lake is extremely sacred to Kashmiri Pandits and is also considered to be a holy pilgrimage site. They take part in what is called a Gangbal-Harmukh yatra, the annual pilgrimage to the 14,500 feet-high Harmukh-Gangbal lake shrine. It is also believed that Lord Shiva resided near the Gangbal lake which makes it religiously significant.
